CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE & BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS FROM GERMANY, FRANCE AND THE UK FORM EUROPEAN-IRANIAN BUSINESS ALLIANCE (EIBA) TO PROMOTE TRADE AND INVESTMENT WITH IRAN

EUROPEAN-IRANIAN BUSINESS ALLIANCE
  • EIBS's objective is to help re-establish Europe's once pre-eminent commercial relationship with Iran.
  • EIBA's member organisations, the national chambers, will continue to work with their Iranian counterparts, as now, to achieve trade directly - this all within EU trade and other relevant regulation.

London, 6th February 2015: The European-Iranian Business Alliance (EIBA) has been founded by Deutsch-Iranische Handelskammer e. V (DIHKEV) of Germany, Cercle Iran Economie (CIE) of France and the British-Iranian Chamber of Commerce (BICC) of the United Kingdom.

EIBA has been established now because negotiations on the nuclear dispute appear to have a real chance of success.

EIBA is an unincorporated alliance of European national organisations whose sole purpose is the promotion of trade in goods and services, commerce and investment with Iran.

The purpose of EIBA is to help European commerce regain the pre-eminent relationship with Iran it enjoyed earlier in the 21st century. This it proposes to do by: sharing information among its member organisations; promoting the significance of Iran as a market to institutions and companies within Europe; and promoting, within Europe, an understanding of matters of joint concern in trade with Iran. EIBA members expect to hold seminars on matters of joint interest.

The EIBA is intended to assist Europe, through its businesses and institutions, to refocus on commerce with Iran. It is not intended to interface with Iran; rather the national organisations will continue to work exclusively with the equivalent organisations in Iran to promote their direct national trade interests.
